Every piece of Burleigh is handcrafted at the Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, England, using traditional techniques that have been in use since 1851.
Is Burleigh pottery dishwasher and microwave safe?
Yes, our earthenware is designed for modern living. It is safe to use in both the dishwasher and microwave, though we recommend using low temperatures and liquid detergents to maintain the glaze.
What is tissue transfer printing?
Tissue transfer printing is a unique, skilled process where patterns are printed from hand-engraved copper rollers onto tissue paper, which is then applied to the clay by hand. This ensures no two pieces are exactly alike.

How should I care for my ceramics to prevent crazing?
To prevent crazing, avoid sudden extreme temperature changes, such as pouring boiling water into a cold cup. Pre-warming your piece with lukewarm water is recommended.
